Scope and roles
This policy applies to the public Ranan website, Ranan workspaces, and related support and integration services.
When an organization uses Ranan to manage customer conversations, that organization normally determines why the conversation data is used. Ranan processes that information to provide the service under the organization’s instructions and the applicable agreement. The Ranan operator separately manages account, security, and operational data needed to run the platform.
Information we process
- Account data such as name, email address, authentication information, profile image, language, time zone, role, and workspace memberships.
- Workspace data such as settings, inboxes, teams, assignments, labels, custom fields, and integration configuration.
- Contact and conversation data such as names, contact details, channel identifiers, profile images, messages, attachments, private notes, status, ownership, and timestamps.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser and device details, request and error logs, security events, session cookies, and local display preferences.
- Support information that you provide when requesting help, reporting a problem, or making a privacy request.
Meta and connected-channel data
Ranan accesses a Meta channel only after an authorized administrator grants the relevant permission and selects an eligible asset to connect.
- Professional profile and asset information, including permitted IDs, names, usernames, profile images, Page or professional-account metadata, and webhook subscription state.
- Messaging information, including sender and recipient identifiers, text, attachments, timestamps, replies, reactions, referrals, and available sent, delivered, or read states.
- WhatsApp Business information, including permitted business-account and phone-number identifiers, profile and template metadata, message content, and status events.
- Comment information only when the comments capability is enabled, authorized, and supported for the connected account.
- OAuth access credentials needed to operate a connection. Provider passwords are not collected, and server credentials are not intended to be exposed to browser users.
How information is used
- Create accounts, authenticate users, and operate authorized workspaces.
- Connect channels, receive and route events, display conversation history, and let authorized teammates reply.
- Synchronize message status, assignments, and operational history.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, monitor availability, and recover the service.
- Provide support, comply with applicable obligations, resolve disputes, and protect users and the service.
Sharing and service providers
Information may be shared with authorized workspace members, the communication providers selected by the customer, and infrastructure, storage, email-delivery, anti-abuse, and support providers to the extent needed to deliver the service.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a legitimate corporate transaction with appropriate safeguards. Ranan does not sell conversation content for targeted advertising.
Retention, channel disconnection, and deletion
Information is retained while needed to provide the service and as required by workspace settings, the applicable agreement, security needs, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Limited copies may remain in protected backups until their normal replacement cycle ends.
Disconnecting a channel stops future access or synchronization to the extent supported by that provider. It does not automatically delete conversations or attachments already stored in Ranan. Stored copies require a separate, verified deletion request.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy of information about you.
If you communicated with a business that uses Ranan, contact that business first because it normally controls the conversation data. Ranan can assist with a verified request through the designated service channel. The Data Deletion page explains the process.
Security, international processing, and changes
Ranan applies technical and operational measures designed to reduce risk, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information in other countries where necessary to deliver the service, subject to applicable transfer requirements.
The service is intended for professional use and is not deliberately directed to children. This policy may change as the service or requirements change; the current effective date appears at the top of this page.
